Shaked Megera to speak alongside Consul General of Israel Maor Elbaz-Starinsky and other dignitaries on Thursday, November 21, at The Temple House in Miami.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sderot, Israel; Miami, FL \u2013 November 15, 2024<\/strong> \u2013 Genesis Friends for Life Global Foundation<\/strong> today announced a delegation including the Co-founder and CEO of Genesis Friends for Life in Israel<\/strong>, and the wife and children of Avi Megera, who lost his life on October 7 while riding his motorcycle on the streets of Sderot, Israel, will arrive in Miami next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michal Megara, age 46 and the widow of Mr. Megera, and their four children Ori (age 9), Ilai (age 16), Shalev (age 22), and Shaked (age 20) will share their stories, with an address by Shalev, who is a symbol of strength and hope for all Israelis and all who support Israel across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new short documentary film directed by Omer Bar-Sadeh and produced by Genesis BH Media called One Sabbath in Sderot<\/strong> will be screened as part of an exclusive event at The Temple House<\/strong>, a former synagogue in Miami Beach, on Thursday, November 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis Business Humanity<\/strong> is a prominent organization founded on the principle that society greatly benefits when business and humanity converge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation will be led by Dr. Lior Aviman<\/strong>, co-founder and CEO of Genesis Friends for Life Foundation, an NGO operating out of Tel Aviv working in the communities most impacted by the October 7 Iron Swords War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis family is one of many innocent families whose worlds were shattered on October 7,\u201d Dr. Aviman said. \u201cTheir courage and determination to share their experiences is profound and sheds personal light on what it means to lose a beloved husband and father as the result of violent extremism and antisemitism. They will carry this impossible pain for the rest of their lives, but with the support of our organization and generous members, donors, and volunteers, they will have Friends for Life years and decades to come through our Doron Grant for Life program.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded on the belief that every child and widow deserves dignity, hope, and the opportunity for a fulfilling future. The Doron Grant for Life funds educational opportunities, counseling, and essential support services, empowering victims to reclaim their futures with confidence and stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
